Pastor Greg Leslie serves as Pastor at Motley United Methodist Church, where he leads a Christ-centered congregation with a heart for worship, discipleship, and community outreach. He and his wife, Stephanie, now make their home in a house they built in Laporte, Minnesota, and enjoy being part of both the local community and the Motley UMC church family.
Family
Pastor Greg and Stephanie are grateful for their growing family and the ways God is at work in each of their lives. Their daughter Morgan is married to Andrew Ortloff, and they have a son, Elliot Alexander, who brings great joy to the family. Their daughter Olivia is married to Carson Berg.
Pastor Greg’s background and interests
Pastor Greg brings to ministry a rich background in business, music, and theology, having previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with additional studies in music and psychology, followed by a Master of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology. This combination of training shapes his preaching, leadership, and pastoral care, as well as his appreciation for meaningful, well-planned worship. Outside of church, Greg is an outdoorsman who enjoys bicycling and spending time in God’s creation, which helps renew his energy for the work of ministry.
Ministry, vision, and leadership
In his years of service, Pastor Greg has been especially passionate about helping the church reach out to its neighbors, support children and youth, and grow in faith together. He believes in a Christ-centered church that is strengthened by good leadership, vibrant music, and active congregational involvement. Greg’s leadership style is collaborative and team-oriented; he loves working alongside others, building teams, and encouraging laypeople to use their gifts so that, together, the congregation can lead people to Christ and live out God’s grace in the community.
